Yellowstone & The Grand Tetons

At the base of the Grand Tetons is what is left of a Morman Community. It lasted about 50 years, being abandoned in 1936. The contrast of the craggy peaks of the Grand Tetons and the grassland make for a surene setting.

Morman Row was abandoned in 1936. This barn and he house behind it are not maintained. The Grand Tetons lie accross Jackson Lake in the distance. The tallest peak is Moran Mountain.

Cutthrought trout are the native species in Yellowstone River. I asked this fisherman if I could take his picture. As you can see, this is a big fish. It is illeagal to keep cutthrought trout, so he returned it to the river.
